I didn't "need" a motorized base, but my son sold me on it with what I call "the magic fingers button". There is a vibration w/2 intensity settings that I enjoy with my back. I also like being able to raise and lower the ends independently to help with sleep or sit up in the bed reading at night. The preprogrammed zero gravity and ideal sleep positions have been great so I don't have to guess at comfort levels. I also love the under bed lighting which provides enough light to navigate to/from the bed without having to turn on a bright light disturbing the other person. The wireless remote is nice too as I don't have to worry about getting wrapped up in a wire.
Only downside is there is only 1 remote. I like to keep it on my side of the bed, but if I go to bed early my husband has to come get it before going to bed so he can turn off the light. It's not really an issue just something to think about placement wise.

The power base that goes with my Tempur-Pedic mattress is fantastic. I love all the different features it has, including a light so that you can see beneath the bed. The various positions you can achieve with the remote for the base are incredible, and I particularly love the anti-gravity feature. It's great for reading and doing crossword puzzles on my phone. I also love the massage feature, which usually gently lulls me to sleep. I am extremely glad I decided to invest in my sleep and purchase this base and mattress. So far it has been well worth every penny!

Purchased to upgrade from previous tempur-pedic base to help with bone cancer issues but previous Tempur Ergo Base had the massage that worked upper, middle, AND lower portions of base. This new one only seems to, very little, work upper portion and not the middle or foot areas. Had I known, would have kept my previous base instead of replacing with this new one.

My first base was slightly defective for the massage feature had done issues. I was able to get it replaced with no issues. I love the features and use them all frequently. My only complaints are 1. The USB hub might be blocked depending on your frame. I didn't buy for this so it wasn't a deal breaker for me. Just something to consider. 2. The light might also be blocked more than you want due to your bed frame. 3. The big issue I have is with the massage motor placement. For a Queen frame it is located on one side. This means one side is very strong and the other is lighter. I understand why it had to be placed on the side but it's not great for functionality purposes hence the star knocked off.

I love the vibration and the lumbar adjustment. The underbed light is great for getting up in the middle of the night. The only reason I didn't rate with 5 stars is because the anti gravity setting puts my feet too high. I am only 5'2" so that may have something to do with it. I always have to readjust the foot angle but it is really no big deal.

This bed is the best bed I've ever had. I am truly enjoying a good night's sleep, and I love the massage unit. Since I have scoliosis and other serious back problems, I need to get cortisone shots to ease the pain. This bed has given me a great deal of comfort, and the massaging unit helps relieve my back pain. When my back hurts, I walk with a little limp. When the pain is gone, my limp goes away. Vibrating feature broke in less than 40 days. Had to take bed apart to take pictures to send them and the mattresses weigh a ton. Then the repair guy tells me the vibration feature turns off after twenty minutes. Yeah no kidding. The issue was it would slow and speed up on its own. They fixed it and it's been good since but this was frustrating especially given the amount I spent on mattresses

I've had a Tempur Pedic bed for about 15 years and love it. I recently invested in an adjustable base as I was recovering from foot surgery. I absolutely love it! The nightlight under the bed is so practice and offers enough light to make your way to the bathroom but not enough to keep you awake. Being able to adjust the foot and head of the bed separately is the only way to go. It not only assisted with recovery, but if you're ever congested or coughing, you'll actually get some sleep. It was worth every penny for a more comfortable sleep.

I bought a king size bed along with the ergo power base. I have had both for about a month now. During the second week, the vibration feature stopped working. I only used it about 3 times. I called customer support and they were great. They contacted their repair people. They called me and setup up an appointment to get it fix. They brought the motor with them, but it was working fine. They said it was a mother board chip (..???) So he didn't have part to fix it. So he has to come back next week. I know it will start working again, and all the other features are working perfectly. I'm just kind of worried how long this base will hold up.
